Google Health is coming
May 08, 2006 | CommentsGoogle Health: "...will offer targeted search for sickies. Predicted to launch later this week the search can be refined and results put into categories like "treatment, research papers, symptoms, news, alternative treatments". It also divides information up according to expected audience - stuff for health professionals rather than patients for example."
Sounds ripe for wireless. Healthcare information is intimately personal, has clear value to its (patient-)consumer, and is needed anywhere; we know this from our work with PocketDoctor (Future Platforms first ever client). I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we see Google Health Mobile...

Chris Eccleston linked to remake of The Prisoner
May 04, 2006 | CommentsChris Eccleston linked to remake of The Prisoner: "Former Doctor Who Christopher Eccleston has been "linked" with the lead role in a remake of The Prisoner, the BBC reports."
Oooh... The Prisoner was a part of my weekly routine when I was at Lewes Tertiary College doing my A-level retakes. I spent every Thursday night attempting to make sense of occasionally impenetrable 60s weirdness... which from what I've read is what the cast spent most of their time doing in between filming the thing.
The Sultans Elephant
May 03, 2006 | CommentsI got handed a flier for this whilst in London today; it looks interesting:
"The Sultan’s Elephant is a spectacle you’ve only imagined... Created by theatrical magicians Royal de Luxe, it tells the story of a sultan from far-off lands and his magical, time-travelling mechanical elephant. Forty feet high and 42 tonnes in weight, this beautiful creature will capture the hearts and minds of everyone who sees it.
The Sultan’s Elephant is played out over four days in the streets, squares and public spaces of central London. Whether you dip into it for three hours or follow its progress for three days, this breathtaking show will live in your memory forever."
